WIRESTM-II System Requirements

* WIRES-II Kit (HRI-100)
* Transceiver (preferably with standard Packet jack)

Internet Connection (dedicated connection preferred, but LAN may be used with the proviso that resetting may be necessary in the event of long periods of inactivity).
* Personal Computer
  • Intel(R) Pen‚”ium II 400 MHz (or faster) processor*
  • Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 2000/Windows(R) XP/Windows(R) Vista/
  • 100 MB of available hard disk space*
  • 256 MB or more RAM*
  • 1024 x 768 color display recommended, with 256-bit color support on the video card
  • 56 kbps or DSL 8M(for Round QSO Room owners) or faster internet connection
  • 8 kHz Sampling rate Sound Card (note that some sound cards may not work properly)
  • COM PORT(RS-232C)/ If COM port is not included in your PC, you will install after market USB<->RS-232C(COM) changer interface.


    *must meet minimum Windows(R) Vista operating system requirements.

Access to the WIRES Server is permitted once a Server I.D. number has been received from Vertex Standard. The Server I.D. number is only assigned after the signed User/Server Agreement, has been received by Vertex Standard.
